Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Ordering is currently unavailable while product information and payment processing are being verified. The guidance below describes our store policies and how to prepare a question; it does not confirm that any pictured garment is available to buy.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information HawaiiDShop collects when you visit https://hawaiidshop.com or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices and rights you have. If you have any question about your privacy, email [email protected].
Privacy at a glance
- We collect only what we need to run the store, deliver your order and support you.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Card details are handled by our payment processors, not stored by us.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
When you create an account or contact support, or when ordering is enabled and you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, and anything you choose to include in messages, reviews or support tickets.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit. This information comes from cookies and similar technologies described in section 4.
1.3 Information from third parties
No payment processor is currently enabled. A future processor may supply payment status and limited transaction references; it must be disclosed before ordering is enabled. Carrier information will depend on the actual fulfillment route.
2. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To prevent fraud, keep the site secure and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To improve our products, site and customer experience.
- To send marketing emails, only where you have agreed or the law allows it. No marketing newsletter is offered at present.
The purpose and lawful basis for processing must match the actual service and the rules that apply to it. Contact us if you need information about a particular record or processing activity.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the store, and only the information they need: payment processors (no processor is currently enabled; any future connected provider will be disclosed before payment), shipping carriers, our website hosting and email providers. Cloudflare provides the observed edge delivery and network service. No marketing newsletter or advertising analytics program is offered by this build. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or our customers’ safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising unless you opt in.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and account working, and the site cannot function without them. Other cookies, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are used only when those tools are enabled and, where required, only after you consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.
5. How long we keep information
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and keep support conversations for as long as they are useful for resolving your request. We keep marketing preferences until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. How we protect information
The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job, and no payment-card information is collected by this build. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you and the law requires notice.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. To make a request, email [email protected] from the address linked to your order or account. We may need to verify your identity, and we respond within the time the law requires. We never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
8. Children’s privacy
Our store is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Any applicable data-transfer requirements must be assessed for the actual provider and route; no particular contractual safeguard is claimed without verification.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will notify you of material changes by email or with a notice on the site.
11. Contact us
Email [email protected] with any privacy question or request. Related pages: Terms of Service, Payment Methods and Contact Us.
12. Privacy in apparel and fit conversations
A fit question normally needs the item link, the measurement method and the dimensions you want to compare. It does not normally need a face photograph, identity document, medical history or an exact description of your body. A shirt measured on a flat surface can often answer the practical question with less personal information. Share only what is relevant, and say whether a number is a body measurement or a garment measurement.
If you send a garment photo, look at the background before attaching it. Mail, identification cards, family photographs, computer screens and mirrors can reveal information that is unrelated to the shirt. Crop or obscure those details. A private support image is not permission to use your appearance in an advertisement or on the home page. If public reuse is proposed, its purpose and permission should be discussed separately and clearly.
13. Records for gifts and shared orders
When buying for someone else, you may need to supply a delivery name and address, but avoid including unrelated personal facts about the recipient. An explanation that a shirt is a gift is enough to describe the purpose of a question. It does not require a birthday record, a photograph of the recipient or a description of their workplace. If an order involves several people, keep the garment choices separate from sensitive personal details.
A refund normally goes to the payer’s original payment method. Support may need to distinguish the payer, recipient and person writing the message without sending all of their information to one another. Do not forward another person’s payment statement or identification to prove a gift purchase. Ask what limited order information is needed to connect the question to the record. Any request for access, correction or deletion should identify the relevant account or conversation.
14. Browsing, devices and provider boundaries
The website uses HTTPS and is observed behind Cloudflare for network delivery. That does not mean every provider has the same retention period or processes data in the same place. Technical logs can be different from an account record, a support conversation or an order. If you ask about a specific record, describe the activity and approximate date so the question can be directed to the relevant system rather than answered with a general statement.
Browser cookie choices can affect the cart and account experience. Blocking cookies is different from requesting deletion of stored order or support data. Likewise, closing a browser window is not the same as closing an account. If you use a shared device, sign out of the account when finished and avoid saving a password in a profile that other people use. Do not give support a password or one-time code to make a privacy request.
15. What to include in a privacy request
State whether you want access, correction, deletion, a copy of information or an explanation of a particular use. Identify the email address or order reference relevant to the request without sending a full payment card number. If you are acting for someone else, explain your relationship and ask what authorization is needed; merely possessing an order screenshot does not establish permission to receive all of another customer’s records.
Some records may need to be retained for applicable accounting, dispute or other legal obligations. That should be explained for the actual record instead of using an invented universal retention period. A request to delete a support message is also different from a request to cancel an order. If several actions are needed, list them explicitly. Keep a copy of the request and response so you can see which action was addressed and what remains open.
Keeping a clear record without sharing too much
A short record of the item link, SKU, selected size, selected color and date of your question is often more useful than several screenshots without context. If you are discussing an existing order, add the order number and the email used at checkout. Keep the original confirmation and any later change confirmation together. A reply in the same email thread helps avoid applying a request to the wrong variation or missing an important date. An initial message is a request; it is not proof that a change, refund or return has already been approved.
When a photo is needed, show the relevant part of the garment and explain what the photo is meant to demonstrate. A full front view plus one detail can distinguish a wrong design from a print placement concern. Crop out unrelated people, documents, addresses and background items. For a delivery label, obscure details that are not needed to identify the issue. Never include a full payment card number, security code, account password or one-time authentication code in an attachment or support message.
For any time-sensitive issue, state the date and time zone in plain words. Saying “today” or “last Friday” can become ambiguous when a message is reviewed later or when you and the store are in different countries. Delivery dates, return-request dates and cancellation requests each serve different purposes. Write the event next to the date so the sequence is clear. You can find the applicable processes on Cancel or Change an Order and Refund Policy.
16. Separate private messages from public content
Writing to support is different from posting a public review. A support conversation can contain the details needed to understand a garment or delivery issue, while a public post should avoid private order and address information. If a message concerns another person, ask before sharing their details. A group photo or a gift address can include information about someone who did not choose to contact the store.
If you want to know whether a specific piece of content is public, identify the page and what you can see without signing in. Public page metadata does not provide access to a cart, customer account or order record. Do not send an account password so support can reproduce your view. Describe the problem and use an ordinary account recovery path for a login issue.
